Enthusiasm And Dream Fulfillment

Enthusiasm is contagious and causes us to take on life with an attitude of wonder. When we focus on God and claim His promises found in the Bible, we can go through life with grateful hearts and enthusiastic attitudes.

No matter what situation we find ourself in we can live passionately.

We are all given endless oppurtunities to glorify God with our lives. Ask God to open your eyes to the ways He wants to use you each day.

If your waiting for the right circumstances, the right people, and the right breaks to start really serving God with your life, your likely to have a long wait.

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” -Luke 16:10

Sometimes we are waiting on God to open doors for us, while He is waiting on us to take steps of obedience right where we are. He knows those steps we need to take that will lead us to the door that is waiting open for us to walk through.

It is the narrow path that leads us to the doors that are open and waiting for us.

Stop waiting for open doors and instead determine to walk in the light, as He is in the light, one step at a time.

Follow Jesus. He is The Door.

God wants to bring our dreams to pass! After all it is He that has placed those dreams in our heart.

Trust in The Lord and do good and He will bring you into your promised land. He will let nothing be wasted in our lives as we bring all that we are and all that we are not and lay ourselves continually at His feet.

If you do not find your delight in The Lord in your present circumstances, its not likely you will delight in The Lord when your circumstances change.

Delight in The Lord now and find that the tight places and lingering trials that test your perseverance to the breaking point time and time again, become open pastures; the tiny spaces where before you had no strength left to stand, becomes spacious places as you rise above on wings of faith, hope and love to soar.

  1. Emily Rose, this you said is so true, “If you do not find your delight in The Lord in your present circumstances, its not likely you will delight in The Lord when your circumstances change.” I’ve found that to be true many times in my own walk. Thanks for sharing. God bless. Great pic of ou in white and the cool hat.

    1. That’s my Dr. Seuss hat. Hats and wigs can be fun!

I am excited that I am learning how to be content in circumstances that at one time overwhelmed me, depressed me or turned me into a ball of complaints. To be content in all circumstances is my goal.

‘Godliness with contentment is great gain.’

  2. Love this, Emily: “Delight in The Lord now and find that the tight places and lingering trials that test your perseverance to the breaking point time and time again, become open pastures.” Just beautiful! Such an encouraging perspective to be expectant and keep our eyes fixed on God. Blessings!

    1. Tiffany, I apologize for the delayed response… Today I am very much experiencing the ‘open pastures’ I spoke of, even though this week has had its ups and downs. I pray that your hopes are up and that you are anticipating the good that God is going to continue to do for you and through you.

  3. Thanks. Just checked out Bob Eden’s work. Very excellent imagery. (Link didn’t work though.) Well, you’re obviously very photogenic. And your son is too. I am NOT. One out of a hundred, maybe. The counseling is going well and the music ministry too. But we had to discontinue the Bones Gathering music ministry because of unresolvable conflict within the group. Basically, we did an intervention with a couple of the leaders that were deeply stuck in a victim mentality and it wasn’t well received and that was the end of that ministry. Now we are involved in a home church and an “Ignite the Fire” conference musically this month. Also, just finished transforming our woodland garden into a moss and fern garden (the earth is my canvas!).

    1. God will honor your faithfulness. I recently had a similar situation happen in the ministry at the homeless shelter. Turns out God is leading me to focus on writing a book right now.

      The yard sounds nice.

Bob is a great photographer and has learned his way around photoshop well. His photography often includes mostly naked women though so I apologize. I wouldn’t have recommended anyone look up his work. He was a customer at my store and exchanged his photography sessions for the use of some of the costumes and accessories at my boutique. Because it was a resale shop most items were pre owned and I was able to loan them out to him for his photo shoots. It was not a professional contract or anything. We were more like friends helping each other out.

    2. I forgot I had made that blog post private.

I went back and forth with it before making it private. I did it shortly after posting it. Not sure if it was out of fear or propriety. I had read some of the comments on Paula White’s photos and was astonished at the intense emotions that were expressed over her looks and modeling photos.

I guess I feared being judged harshly and distracting from the point of my blog even though I personally felt confident about the pictures.
